Who We Are
Chris Houston
Licensed Contractor
Owner, Estimator and Installer
Chris is a Northern Nevada native with over 20 years of experience installing floors. He specializes in Laminate, Hardwood and Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) floors but install just about any floor you can throw at him. If you are looking for a professional flooring contractor who has impeccable attention to detail, Chris is the guy for you.

In his free time, you can find him mountain biking, coaching the Carson High School mountain bike team, riding his dirt bike, snowboarding, camping and spending time with family and friends.
Michelle Houston
Owner/Office Manager
Michelle grew up in Carson City and went on to get her Business Management degree at the University of Nevada, Reno. She has utilized her management expertise in both the public and private sectors. Michelle handles all of the general office duties that keep the business running.

She enjoys staying active and spending time with family and friends.
Andrew MacDonald
Apprentice
Andrew began his apprenticeship in September of 2021. He soon became a huge asset to our team with his determination and attention to detail. He his a fast learner and will be an exceptional journeyman once he has fine tuned his skills.

In his free time Andrew enjoys working out and playing rugby.
Allen Carney
Licensed Contractor,
Estimator and Installer
Allen is a licensed flooring contractor and owner of Standing Impressions, LLC. He is also Chris' best friend. They met on the job in 2009 and have been best buds ever since. They even went through the process of getting their contractors licenses together. Although Allen owns his own installation business, we partner with him on larger projects. We are happy that we can partner with such an exceptionally skilled installer.

Allen enjoys mountain biking, riding dirt bikes and camping with his wife, Stephanie, and his two dogs.
Greg Garling
Licensed Contractor and Estimator
Greg is Chris' uncle and has been installing flooring since 1976. Chris was also Greg's apprentice early in his career where he not only taught him the trade, but also his incredible work ethic. He is truly lucky to have learned from the best. Greg is primarily completing estimates these days but he may pop in from time to time to help install.
Greg enjoys taking his boat out for a day on the lake or hanging with his dog, Sport.
